Stop-Cheats.com is requesting your help in spreading the word about a very important issue regarding cheating in online gaming. It is a fact that Game Developers could file law suits against those who publish multiplayer cheats, because the creation and publication of cheats is illegal. If they did you would see a quick elimination of online cheating. It's time we told Game Developers and Publishers exactly how we feel about their lack of initiative.

Lets get the 1 million signatures needed to make Game Developers motivated to do something.

ATTENTION ALL USERS: The Cheat Police Impersonator

I have received a couple of complaints about a player going into MOH:AA servers CLAIMING to be from The Cheat Police. This player is being rude, abusive, ignorant, and a general pain in the ass.

I assure you ALL, this player is NOT associated with The Cheat Police in any way shape or form.

He is trying to use the tag of either (CP) or [CP]

I ask you ALL to block any version of that tag from your servers and ban this player as well. My Officers and Staff are do NOT wear this tag when they check or play in servers. And due to copyright and trademark laws, only 5 people on my staff are authorized to use the CP tag.

A NOTE TO USERS WITH PUNKBUSTER ENABLED GAMES, [CP] IS a protected tag. If you update your tag protection scripts regularly, then you need not worry about this. ONLY the Officers of The Cheat Police have the information to use the tag.

If you're reading this, then that means you found our new home! Welcome to the BRAND NEW Cheat Police. Everything is nearly complete. The site is VERY STABLE and hopefully error free. I have spent the last few days cleaning errors and think I have it all cleaned. In the next few days, I'll be modifying some of the old themes to work with the site and looking for new ones. ALSO, the www.thecheatpolice.net url will be updated to point here over the next few days, so watch out for that!

PLEASE, if anyone finds any errors what so ever, please report them to me ASAP.

ATTENTION MEMBERS AND STAFF!

After extensive email exchanges between myself and SGT D, I wanted to announce that effective IMMEDIATELY, I am now taking charge of TCP. With a mutual agreement with SGT D, there will be several changes happening over the next week.

The domain, http://www.thecheatpolice.com will be pointing to a NEW SERVER. This server is owned by me and is very secure and stable. I ask that you continue to use http://www.thecheatpolice.net as the default site until certain items are complete.

The current TCP site will be undergoing some major upgrades. The MAJOR upgrade is going to be a migration from Nuke Evo to Nuke Evo-Extreme. This is mainly due to the stability of the CMS. To see it live, you can visit my pages at either http://www.vetsols.org or http://www.vetsols.net

When the migration is complete, and I feel that the site is stable to go live, http://www.thecheatpolice.net will be changed to point to the new server

Other changes will be happening as the work to make TCP a better site continues. We all on the staff appreciate your patience and cooperation during this critical stage of The Cheat Police's evolution in the ANTI-CHEAT community.

We are online and working again. The TSA Applications and Badge Update Applications are up and running. If you posted before we went down, please do so again. The apps we had are gone.

Hello members of TCP!

Just a general announcement to let you know that we, the staff and officers of TCP are slowly coming back from our long summer break.

To those of you who have submitted an application between April and July of 2009, keep an eye on your emails over the next 2 weeks for a welcome message from either myself, or OUTLAW with important instructions to get the ball rolling on your approvals.

To those waiting for us to re-open the applications for TSA, please watch out for that in the next few weeks while we catch up on the applications we already have.

To those TSAs that need to update their badges, PLEASE hang tight, we will be reopening that application in about 4 weeks.

PLEASE keep this in mind, between getting caught up on applications and working on the web site, we will be EXTREMELY busy, so please, hold off on questions and the such while we get caught up. Thank you.

PBBans

Over the last month PBBans has been hit with a number of DDoS attacks and we have been able to overcome them. On Aug 18, 2009 a massive DDoS attack hit our web server and could not be prevented with the counter-measures we previously employed. Our host will not do anything to block the attacks and even suggested that we turn our servers off.

After this occurred we decided to close our doors. There are many reasons behind this such as a higher cost for hosting, the lack of a new host that can provide the protection we require and finally the toll PBBans has played on our real lives.

After thinking about it overnight and the overwhelming messages from supporters who pleaded us not to close, we have decided to continue. We have found a new host that will provide the protection we require however it comes at a higher cost. Also the cost of shipping our servers is not a small one.

We need your help to keep us to keep PBBans online. Please donate using the button below.

We thank all our supporters for sticking with us and provided some much needed motivation needed to keep PBBans alive.

Dark Forge Gaming CLOSING It's Doors

Dear friends,

We regret to have to make this descision, but dfg-gaming is forced to Close down its gaming division. After a very great year, I am afraid that the economy has finally caught up to us, and we are no longer able to compete it the game server buisiness. When AA3 was released, we were forced to install many new servers, that our business just could not support, and with its failure as a game, it in turn rederend our gaming division broke. To keep from losing everything we are forced to make this choice. We desided that Web hosting, CMS, website design and support along with clan support is just going to be the best direction for us. As many of you know, Game Servers are a very cut throat busniess, and we chose not to go down that route, which may have lead to this. At this point August 2009 will be our last month providing any game servers.

File Front

FileFront has been acquired by the original founders of the site and will NOT be suspended as previously announced. This is NOT an April Fool's Joke.

After learning about Ziff Davis Media's plan to suspend FileFront at the end of March, the original founders of FileFront made the decision to buy it back from Ziff Davis Media.

We're happy to announce to the gaming community that as of today, April 1st, 2009, FileFront is a completely independent company again and is no longer part of Ziff Davis Media. All previously suspended services should be active and working again. We thank Ziff Davis Media for their cooperation and willingness to keep the site and community alive.

Due to the very unfortunate timing of this event and related announcements on March 24th and April 1st (April Fool's Day), we'd like to make it perfectly clear that:

1) 1) The March 24th announcement about FileFront suspending its operation was NOT an early April Fool's joke.

2) This announcement about the original founders buying back FileFront from Ziff Davis Media is also NOT an April Fool's joke.

3) We're making this announcement on April 1st because the deal was completed today and we want to bring all services back online immediately.

4) We would NEVER suspend FileFront as an April Fool's joke.

5) We are happy to be back!

FileFront has existed in one form or another (originally as FileLeech and Voodoo Extreme's downloads) since 1997.
